Chemists in Industry - Dr Lilian Low (Pfizer Asia Pacific Pte Ltd)

Pfizer is one of the world's biggest pharmaceutical companies and undoubtedly a dream destination for many Chemistry graduates. On 21st October 2014, we were honoured to be able to invite Dr. Lilian Low, a senior scientist from Pfizer, to share with us on her experiences of working in a pharmaceutical company.

Dr. Low graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from National University of Singapore and also obtained a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of Wales, Cardiff.

Dr. Low has been a senior scientist in Pfizer Asia Pacific Pte since 2006. Being the senior scientist, she is the senior-in-charge for process on plants, closely involved in troubleshooting and optimization of processses. 

It was an enriching session for all of us as we got to learn more about how work in a pharmaceutical company is like, as well as the job prospects for all chemistry students who are aspiring to work in a pharmaceutical industry.
